Dr. Svetlana Spivak has been practicing pediatrics for over 30 years and has dedicated the last 25 of those years to serving families right here in Brooklyn. She is a graduate of Leningrad Medical School and completed her residency training at Elmhurst Hospital through Mount Sinai.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) and a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), Dr. Spivak brings exceptional credentials alongside a warm, deeply personal approach to pediatric care. She has been published nationally and has made television and radio appearances sharing her expertise.

For Dr. Spivak, medicine is a family affair. Her husband Igor manages the practice, and two of her grandchildren are patients at Welcome Pediatrics — a testament to the trust and care she provides every day.

Dr. Irina Nelipovich brings over 30 years of pediatric experience and a lifelong commitment to children's health. She graduated from Minsk State Medical School and completed her residency through Mount Sinai, where she developed a rigorous clinical foundation.

After her residency, Dr. Nelipovich joined forces with Dr. Spivak to co-found Welcome Pediatrics in 2006, fulfilling their shared vision of building a pediatrics-only practice rooted in the Brooklyn community.

Like Dr. Spivak, medicine runs in Dr. Nelipovich's family. Her daughter Inna is a cardiologist practicing in New York City, and Dr. Nelipovich's three grandchildren are among the many families she has had the privilege of caring for over the years.

Igor Spivak oversees the day-to-day operations of Welcome Pediatrics, handling administration, billing, and accounting to ensure the practice runs smoothly. His background and dedication ensure that the business side of medicine never gets in the way of patient care.

In addition to his role as practice manager, Igor is a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) and sees his own patients at the office, bringing a complementary approach to wellness.

Our medical assistants and receptionists are the heart of our day-to-day patient experience. Knowledgeable, warm, and always ready to help, they make every visit to Welcome Pediatrics as smooth and comfortable as possible.
